Program
The early education program is located on the Cordata campus. Our early education grades serve students in preschool (P3 & P4) and kindergarten. Students are given the opportunity to satisfy their curiosity as they explore many topics and, at the same time, learn to interact with classmates and teachers in a school setting. Our desire is to provide an environment that will allow each child to grow spiritually, academically, and socially. Our P3 preschool goals include helping kids develop small and large motor skills, learning Bible stories and songs, and recognizing numbers, colors, shapes, and letters of the alphabet. In P4 preschool, children are given the opportunity to learn letters and the letter sounds in order to be ready to read in Kindergarten. Students build their math skills including counting and identifying numbers. We provide fun, engaging opportunities for preschoolers to explore and participate in hands-on learning within a Biblical worldview that honors God and is kind and respectful to one another.
Our goals in kindergarten literacy is to help students grow in their emergent reading and writing skills, acknowledging that each student is on their own journey and that small group instruction is key to meeting the needs of each student. In math, we work on building number sense with a focus on beginning addition and subtraction while differentiating math instruction as needed. Students start to explore topics in science and social studies, all with a biblical worldview.
The major focus in our preschool and kindergarten programs is to cultivate a love for God and the assurance that God loves them as we create an environment that helps kids love school and learning.
