Ruth Jacobson

Mrs. Jacobson has taught 3rd grade and now teaches fifth/sixth grade homeroom and accompanies the fifth/sixth choir.

Lt. Colonel Doug Jacobson, live in Custer. Their two children, who are both alumni of BCS, live and work locally.  They enjoy boating and camping together.  Ruth spends her free time reading, playing tennis and watching sports. Ruth uses her talent on the piano to worship the Lord.

Ruth graduated from WWU in 2009 with her Masters in Teaching.  She has experience substitute teaching in the Bellingham School District and at BCS. She began full time at BCS in 2013. “The enjoyment I get from teaching and loving students is only surpassed by the incredible blessing I feel because of the privilege of teaching at BCS. The community of teachers and staff is amazing!” said Ruth about having her first classroom. She has taught third grade since 2013.

The scripture passage that means the most to her is Romans 8:26-39.  And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good.  “This year has been one of tremendous growth in Christ for me. Because of this, I have the hope that NOTHING can come between me and the love of my Lord. He sustains me!”
