Erin Patrick

Mrs. Patrick teaches middle school language arts, health, electives and history.

She is originally from Seattle and has also lived in California and Scotland.  She has been in the Bellingham area for over thirty years. Her husband, Rob, and she have been married for more than two decades. Rob was in the Navy and currently works for the City of Lynden. Her son, Brady has graduated from high school and is pursuing his career. Her daughter, Abby loves swimming and dancing. They also love their crazy border collie and two cats.

Erin loves the outdoors and camping. Her favorite place to be in the world is on a beach–any beach! They are a football family and love to watch their son play. She loves cooking, but not baking! She grows strawberries and raspberries in her garden and makes jam.

Her favorite verse is Romans 12:2. “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is–his good, pleasing, and perfect will.”

“I love this verse because it reminds me every day that I have a choice. I can choose the ways of the world, or I can choose the Lord’s way.  The world does not want what is best for me, but the Lord does. His will is perfect, and He knows what I need. When my eyes are fixed on Him, He protects me from conforming to the pattern of this world,” said Erin.

Mrs. Patrick majored in English and minored in reading. She was a substitute teacher in Bellingham and Ferndale until she began teaching full time at Bellingham Christian in 2000. She taught 6th-8th grade until 2005, when she had her daughter. She did a variety of jobs during the time away from teaching including becoming a certified nursing assistant.
