Mrs. Heilborn joined the BCS team in 2016 as the first grade teacher.
Dakota enjoys reading, baking and spending as much time as possible outside hiking, skiing, sailing and relaxing. She grew up in Redmond with her two brothers, sister and parents. Even though they all live far apart now, they enjoy getting together. In July of 2018, she married BCS grad Cole Heilborn.
Her favorite verse is Proverbs 3:5-6. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” “This verse shows me that if God is always first, anything is possible,” shared Dakota about why that scripture speaks to her.
A graduate from Northwest University in May 2016, she spent four months student teaching at Bellevue Christian School and four months in the Issaquah School District, before she joined BCS.
