Alyssa Benham

Mrs. Benham teaches fifth/sixth grade homeroom and directs the fifth/sixth choir.
Alyssa uses her spiritual gifts of encouragement and teaching to point kids towards Jesus. She likes sunshine, coffee, friends, worship and watching football.  She is married to “the best man ever,” and has a young son, who attends BCS.  Her hobbies include boating, hiking, gardening and cooking.
Her current favorite verse is Colossians 3:23, although it is hard for her to choose. “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart as working for the Lord and not for men.”
“Each day I strive to live my life as Christ commands. I have failed, and will continue to fail for the rest of my days, but that is what is amazing about our God. He loves us, even with the dirty rags we carry. What an amazing God!”  said Alyssa about her walk with the Lord.
She attended Western Washington University and graduated with a BA in Education.  She has taught middle school and fifth grade since joining BCS.
