Mr. Sampson loves the ministry God has placed him in at Bellingham Christian School.  He has a passion to see others fall in love with the One true God and experience His liberating grace and love in their lives.  "God’s beauty and His ways motivate me to love and serve.  My prayer is that our students will see this living God and seek to glorify Him in all areas of life."

When he has some free time, he enjoys spending it in the outdoors running, back country skiing, rock climbing, kayaking and mountain climbing.   "Some of my most worshipful moments have been in the mountains as I absorb the grandeur and beauty of our God."

His favorite verse is Ephesians 2:1-10. "As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature objects of wrath. But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."

"It’s a succinct summarization of the Gospel message for which I am and always will be eternally grateful," said Mr. Sampson.

He also admires how Creation speaks loudly of God's glory.  Psalm 19:2 says, 'The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge.'

Bob Sampson graduated from  Western Washington University  in  1986  with a  BA in education and later completed his Masters in Special Education and followed up with earning his school administration certificate from WWU.  He taught reading, writing and math to kindergarten through 5th grade students at Birchwood Elementary School for eight years.
